Audition information!

Are you ready to volunteer? Great! Fill out this volunteer interest form and let us know when you’re available! We’ll reach out soon after and get you started! Have questions? Feel free to explore this page. If you have any other questions, feel free to email us at any time, we’re happy to help!

  • To get started, simply complete the Volunteer Interest Form on the top of the page.

After submitting the form, you will receive an email invitation to join our community board, where volunteers connect, receive updates about meetings and events, and access important information.

The link to our audition form for performer roles is shared within the community board, along with details about upcoming performances and training opportunities.

  • Auditions for The Royal Scroll Foundation take place through our online casting application, which is posted in our community board as a Google Form during each casting season. We hold two casting seasons per year, and application deadlines are announced in advance. Anyone who wishes to apply is highly encouraged to attend volunteer meetings to be offered the link to our board and know when this performing application opens. Performers are welcome to apply at any time while the application is open, but deadlines are firm and cannot be extended. Applicants submit headshots, full body photos, and singing videos, and are able to view our character offerings, full character index, and costume inventory in the application. Every applicant is cast, and final character assignments are based on a combination of performer strengths, availability, board casting opinions, and organizational needs.

All cast performers and volunteers will continue to attend events as Fairy Apprentices, meaning they may support events, assist characters, and gain experience even when they are not scheduled to perform in character. This allows performers to learn, grow, and stay involved while completing training and approvals for their assigned characters.

  • No! Auditioning is only required if you wish to perform in character at events. If performing isn’t your thing, you are more than welcome to join as a Fairy Apprentice, where you’ll assist characters during events and help support magical moments behind the scenes. You can also join as a general member, attending meetings, helping with projects, and supporting the organization’s growth without participating in events at all.

We are also currently seeking volunteers to fill several board member positions, and any member -whether cast or not - is welcome to apply for and hold a leadership role. No matter how you choose to get involved, there’s a place for you here, and we’d love to have you as part of our community!

  • Anybody can audition! We welcome performers of all experience levels, whether you’ve been on stage for years or you’re trying something new for the very first time. Our audition process may ask about your previous experience, but it’s not a requirement: we care far more about your enthusiasm, reliability, kindness, and willingness to learn. As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to inclusivity, growth, and creating a supportive environment where everyone can develop their skills. If you love working with children, storytelling, and bringing joy to others, we’d love for you to audition and grow with us.
